I use these pips on my forehand (with long pips on my backhand), so I need them for serving, hitting, looping and blocking. Although they do not have quite as much spin as the Spinlord Waran rubber I was using previously, they make up for it with oodles of control. All my blocks suddenly started landing on the table, and my attacks became a lot more consistent, both hitting and looping. I wish I could generate more spin on serves, but even without that, the consistency I'm getting with this rubber is worth the trade-off.
