I bought it in 2.0mm sponge. And use it on my BH
I use an All+ 5 ply wood blade and found the modern tensor style rubbers to fast for my intermediate technique.

The big slam is soft ( but not mushy) enough to feel nice over the table for flicks, but as I tend to spin, not hit, I don't have issues with hits through the sponge.

I do find it's missing the top gear of speed and maybe a little bit of spin compared to the baracuda, but it's far from lacking in either area.

the annoying problem with donic rubber is that they are so heavy. Compared with barracuda, the big slam barracuda is lighter and gives more control, trading off its power and spin. So worth a trial I think
