This blade has soft feel and good dampening effect for pimples because of the willow content. Plays very similar to the now discontinued willow Butterfly defence blade used by Chen Weixing when he was No 17 in the world although the Darker blade is better made.Quality - 10/06/2019 Magic Defence (contd.) Recently I ordered a spare blade that came with some modifications compared toQuality
the first one:
Edges of the blade now are slightly rounded providing a better ergonomic grip
and touch and the former plastic lens within the handle is replaced by an inlay of
brushed aluminium labled "Willow". With these modifcations the product now
is on the verge of a work of art, representing highest standards of japanese
craftsmanship.
Weight: Weight for both blades was 87 grs. - determined immediately after unboxing,
matching the specs to 100%. This suggests the conclusion that the manufacturing

Speed: Def+, ideally suited for the modern defence style.Quality
Response, touch and control: Not too much damping. Ball impact creates some vibrations providing an unmatched feeling of control with extended ball contact time.
Quality finish: Good, but not outstanding.
Rubbers played: FH - Spinlord Marder 1.0 mm / BH - Milky Way Neptune OX.
Overall rating: Outstanding. Best defence blade I ever played with.
