For ref 1650 USA Long 5 MX-P B/FH. I got this sp to try out with my pal who is new to the game and I like this sp because it's more live than any of the other sp I have worked with. Most notably, super spin pips chop II pips diameter is much wider, and even though the pup shape is similar the sides of the pips on the Spectol 21 touch the ball more and I think this accounts for a deeper feeling on ball contact and subsequently I think it allows for greater power.

My favorite version of Spectol.
Same topsheet but a softer sponge.
This sponge brings more spin to the rubber but overall still plays like a classic SP.
Using it in 1.7-1.9mm on BH for Modern Defense.
Chops great and attacks are really easy.
Very lightweight also... 28g cut for 157x150 blade.
One complaint: sponge thickness varies a lot. Some 1.8mm look like 2.0mm and some more like 1.5mm.
Great service from TT11.

I used it with a clipper wood penhold in 1.7-1.9mm.
Pros:
Blocks were difficult to adjust to at first and a lot went into the net. Hits through spin very well. Smashing medium to high balls is very precise as well.
Touch shots and short game were fantastic.

Sponge was high quality, and very consistent. However, I removed the rubber once and when I put it back on, it was dead. (probably my fault to being too rough)

Serves were ok, but not as spinny as 802-1.
Chopping was pretty good, and shipping from TT11 was awesome

This is the first short pips I've used that is deceptive. When I bought my first sheet I didn't realise I'd get this bonus property. I used to use medium pips for deception. The Friendship 82-40 short pips are extremely popular, and I've used them before, but they have no deception. Their pips are large, which makes them play more like weak inverted rubber. But this new spectol version has smaller-shaped pips, and I think they benefit from having a conical (at least not flat) tip. You get all the benefits of short pips as well as deception.

If you use this on a combination bat, with inverted on the other side, and play a fast speed game close to the table, your opponents will be in trouble no matter where they stand. It they are close to the table, the ball will drop off their bat unless they are watching you carefully. And if they back off, you can play nice drop-shots. I recommend using the spectol pips with a blade of reasonable firmness, such as Avalox p700 or TSP Reflex Award 50. I don't think the pips work as well on flexy blades. You could use carbon blades but they'll never give you the feel of the Avalox and TSP wooden blades.

The price for the pips is double that of the 802-40, but worth it for the deceptive feature, and also because pips rubbers in general don't wear out like inverted, from my experience.

This rubber is one of the very less offensive pimples out rubbers remaining that makes trouble of the opponent..the only thing is that makes trouble for yourself either..regarding the new balls this rubber makes it difficult to stay in big rallies..so i will be possitive of trying a new rubber like clippa or moristo sp but with the pimples trouble effect.come on companies develop a new one!

No doubt its the fastest short pimple in the world although spin reversel is not much but you can completely rely on its consistency to hit the ball I give it full stars if you are professional player looking to play offensive game with short pips go for it.
