The Nittaku Septear is a 7 ply blade that combines 7 plies of Hinoki plywood with AD carbon. The addition of the carbon makes the blade considerably faster than the original Septear even though the carbon version is thinner than its predecessor.

Quality

I am a "hinoki lover", and I have several multiple-ply all wood hinokis from Darker, XIom and Nittaku. I like this blade brother, all-wood Septear, but with Carbon the blade felts uncomfortable: lots of vibration, strange pitch and irregular behavior between long and short shots.
Perhaps is my expectation about hinoki behavior, but I own two other "carbo-hinoki" were the vibration tends to be smaller compared to all-woods. However, I can assure that the Septear without carbon feels pretty faster than this one.

Quality

This blade is too fast with Tenergy 05, but it works well with Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft and Donic Baracuda.
