New rubber VIPER is a major step forward for all long pimple players blocking close to the table. Its completely new rubber formula provides very good control so that even fast topspin shots can be handled quite easily. Its pimples are soft and help dampening the speed of the ball. However the main characteristic of this long pimple rubber is the low bounce it produces while blocking. Both passive blocking and chop-blocking provide a disruptive effect that will cause problems to your opponent. This makes VIPER a highly interesting development in the field of long pimple rubbers with friction. All standard attacking techniques with long pimples can be performed quite easily.

Quality

I rate this rubber as the same as the Elite Long in terms of attacking ability. The bigger advantage this has over the elite is that although grippy there is some reversal on the passive blocks and I can really keep the ball short on the return of service and if there's light to medium topspin one can really drop the ball short to get close to a second bounce on the opponents side of the table.
It chops ok away from the table but knows where nearly as much backspin as the Elite Long.
On the downside with all long pimple rubbers, since I attack extremely frequently the pimples don't last more than 50 hours of play then they break off quickly once the first one goes.
Overall it's an awesome rubber for my style of play. By the way, I twiddle and hit quite hard when the pimple is on my forehand so the rubber does take punishment.

I am not an expert pimple player, but this rubber is really good. Is easy to use and actually I can attack with it.

I really enjoyed playing with this rubber, it hit well and had a very good effect when blocking. However, the pips broke within the second week. I have only tried this rubber once, so perhaps I was unlucky with the durability. Also, the topsheet was coming off of the sponge.

Quality

This rubber produces excellent, low-trajectory, controlled blocks off of topspin, with good reversal. It is also amazing for attacking with both aggressive pushes and rolls. The softness of the pips allows for a very dynamic game. The one flaw I find is that the ball goes a bit high on chops, but it compensates for that by creating great backspin. Opponents are regularly underestimating how much backspin there is on the ball. (NOTE: This review is for the Viper OX, NOT the Viper Soft OX. I've tried the Viper Soft, and while it's amazing for attacking and chopping -- low trajectory and high backspin -- it's terrible for blocking.)

Новые шипы от Доктора. Мелкие и часто расположенные, мягкие шипы. Очень эффективные в 1ой и 2ой зоне. Можно эффективоно блокировать удары соперника на столе и пилить из 2ой зоны. Также хорошо идёт накат шипами, только не надо забывать что они мягкие и сильно вкладываться нельзя иначе шипы плывут при ударе и мяч летит куда попало. Очень хорошо сочетаются с основаниями от Доктора.
