A combination of artificial Aramid-Carbon fiber and high quality wood plies makes the Baum Esprit a fast blade and is especially suited for countering topspin attacks. This blade has 5 wood plies plus two fiber layers. This gives it a solid weight at 90g. Donic recommends this blade for spin oriented, offensive players.

In general, this blade is an excellent alternative for Butterfly ALC blades like TBS or Viscaria. This blade is soft feel, essentially no vibrations and well-balance in term of speed and control.

I am pretty pleased from this blade. It plays really well as the most best sellers with arylate-carbon (butterfly alc's, timo boll alc, viscaria, timo boll spirit etc). The huge minus, is the quality of craftmanship. Many imperfections...but dont forget the good price, so the quality is acceptable for its price, but I insist, it could be better made.
