Yasaka Rising Dragon

Rubber type : inverted
Yasaka wanted to create a very-high quality sticky rubber, so they turned to China and in factories of the highest quality control, they did just that. The Yasaka Rising is harder than the Shining Dragon, which is why so many top-level players love it. The combination of high speed and spin makes this a formidable weapon in the right hands.

I am using it for Forehand in a Viscaria, very good for now, not a low throw angle.

24/07/2019 High Spin / Control Rubber Review by Robert Platt
Quality
Excellent tacky rubber from Yasaka. Offers good spin, speed and control. As with most tacky rubbers, they are difficult to keep clean and would recommend rubber protectors.
18/07/2019 I don't like it at all Review by Yurii Okolot
Quality
It must be a hybrid of European tensor and Chinese tacky topsheet, but it is not good enough in speed or spin. Ordinary rubber that can not be compared to the DHS Hurricane 3 at all.
29/03/2019 Spinny and grippy rubber Review by pvken
Quality
Tacky rubber goes a while. Lasts a long time. Spinny rubber. Not the fastest rubber, but fast enough. Using on the Primorac off- blade.

Hard as the hardest Chinese rubbers. No feeling, no dwell.
03/01/2019 Among the best I've played with, but I got a bad sheet. Review by Ulf & Linnea Beckman
Quality
I have bought this 4-5 times, but in the latest one, I got a sheet that had a darkish, greyish colour on it, and no tackiness. But good old TT11 paid my money back. It was a shame because this is among the best rubbers you can buy. With Chinese tacky sheet, Japanese-Euro sponge, you can do everything. First time I tried it, my sideloops went pass all my opponents. They had never seen such spin. I will try to get a new sheet soon, and change my Andro R47 which have served me well 107 times (yes, I count). Nothing more to add. Have you not try it: Why are you still reading this! :-)

Speed: 9.1
Spin: 9.9
Control:9.6
Rating: 9.7

Отлично играет на BH основание Yasaka Max Carbon 3D.
20/05/2017 Tacky! Review by Archfil Dela Cruz
Quality
This rubber is tacky. The control and speed are adequate. Great for producing quality spins and flat hits. I use this in my BH, with the max sponge thickness, on the Yasaka Dynamix 17 and it elavated my game to a new level. The only downside for me is that it collects lots of dirts and dusts easily, so always have your cleaning sponge handy. This rubber is made in China and it kinda feels like a Chinese Rubber in my opinion. Great rubber overall.
04/03/2017 acceptable Review by Byoung Park

Tried many rubbers, Yasaka Rising Dragon the only one the match my style. Most of sticky surface the bounce usually slow but this rubber give you both spiny and fast.
15/12/2016 Great Rubber Review by Sergey Vaintraub
Quality
Pros:
Generate great serves
Great spin capabilities
Good endurance - after 4 months still almost as new (Yasaka trademark in general)
Great for touch play and blocks - can easily absorb strong hits

Cons:
Need to clean frequently

P.S. using max width
07/12/2016 Universal weapon Review by Stanislav Viktorovich Lykov
Quality
Great for allround play at forehand. It's good for serve return, it's quite easy counter-loop with it, speed not great, but great control and spin make up for it. Great control on block. The only downside for me is that this rubber bad at defence away from the table, it's either high ball or flat ball for your oppenent...
27/09/2016 Great Japanese-Europe hybrid rubber with medium lifetime Review by Elmar Mussenbrock
Quality
If you like tacky rubbers with more power than the Chinese ones, try this one. It's a spin Monster and nevertheless it is quite easy to block incoming spin, as it absobs it and adds your spin.
It took me some time to adjust to the low throw angle and I would prefer a slightly higher one for my topspins, but due to it Counter Loops are much easier than with Rubbers like Vega China or DHS Neo 3 Hurricane.
The only disadvantage I currently see, is that the rubber highly attracks dust and then looses much of its spin. I now clean my rubber during the training with water, something that I normally just did after the traiining.
12/07/2016 Good, but not for me... Review by Lorenzo Goossens
Quality
Very good rubber. Nice quality, very good spin, very good speed, but for me the sponge was too hard. Those who like hard sponges and like hybrids, might like this one.
15/04/2016 Very spinny but less speed. Review by Yongwoo Rim

10/03/2016 Tacky Rubber with Japanese Feeling Review by Cristiano Cozza
Quality
I love it. A huge feeling, huge spin, fast (even if it's very tacky!!) and a good control. I got the Max thickness, and it's perfect for my FH.
Great for countertop with a very low arch.
As all the tacky rubbers it gets dirty very soon and it loses a bit its grip.
02/03/2016 Rising Dragon Review by Calvin Burgess
Quality
I purchased the Rising Dragon rubber at the end of 2015, after reading the reviews about how it was one of the fastest, having great spin and good control. I can say that it lives up to these clams and has taken my game to a higher level of playing ability. There isn't anything you can't do with this rubber from blocks, loops (high/low) and drop shots all with great control. Allows me to put as much spin on my serves as I like, on the short or long ones. I have this R/D rubber on both sides which allows me to be aggressive or defensive depending on the shot that is needed. This rubber is great for all players looking to develop an aggressive topspin game. You can't go wrong with this one.

19/01/2016 Great rubber Review by Shihong Yan
Quality
I was reading reviews online and people are having really good review about this rubber, so I waited until tt11 got this in stock and ordered it.

The rubber has superb spin and control, and can be super fast if you apply some strength. It feels sort of too sticky at the beginning, but slowly gets better.

I will definitely buy this again as forehand for my next racket.
24/12/2015 Great Rubber Review by Maheedhar Sonthineni
Quality
I just got this rubber, Max thickness and am using it on a Yasaka Gatien Overdrive Metal Blade, yeah its an old blade but the Yasaka Overdrive is the same blade. Compared to the Xiom Omega 5 tour Max, its a bit slower, more spin, more control, lower throw angle. Very good for reversing opponent spin. I think it would have been nicer if it had a bit more power, but its always either control vs power. Control is excellent. Pretty much can loop anything. Good at looping at the top of the bounce and great for flips, thx to the extra control. Not recommended for beginner to intermediate level players, must have a well developed strokes.

14/09/2015 Seems like Tacky version of rakza with less speed and more spin Review by ANURAG BISHT
Quality
not as tacky as some other brands offers, spin machine , speed is above average but not uncontrollable, the rubber has low rebound like tacky rubbers(the ball doesn't bounce much after hitting) hence good for serves and touch shots, needs proper technique to take advantage of spin and speed, recommended on fast blades, since the rubber has some tackiness you might have to practice serve return, good for blocks as well, it just removes the speed and spin of your opponent and adds your speed and spin. My choice for forehand.

Note : recommended on fast blades
