Vega Japan doesn't suit well with any blade. Doesn't suit with primorac, korbel. With donic original exclusive carbon it will bcome an awesome racket.

It has less speed and spin compared to fastarc G-1. But it is very good rubber for beginner/intermediate players. It is easier to return the ball for my opponents but all of my topspins land to the table. I use it as a FH rubber.

It was better when it was on old Butterfly Timo Ball all+ blade. Now with Stiga Clipper, it has less control compared to Fastarc G1. But still, it is a very good rubber among rubbers I have played until now. For me, 2 mm Vega Japan lacks power and much different than Vega Japan with maximal thickness. So max thickness recommended.

It's rated as 45 degrees hardness but it is quite heavy for that hardness (around 50g cut to a regular blade head) and feels chunky, never too soft.

The special point of this rubber is that it creates a low arc with massive spin.
This leads opponents even of high level to misread the spin on your shots and serves, confusing the directness of the shot for a little spin, while in effect this is one of the spinniest rubbers that exist, with some of the strongest grip.

The topsheet grabs the ball forever.
Speed is low, with no catapult effect, but if you hit harder you get a ball so spinny it will be like the spin of a player a few levels above yours. The speed is up to you to make some effort though there is an upper limit.

The backhand is incredible, the ball flies with a low arc over the net with power and spin opponents have trouble reading. For flicks on serve-receive, it is deadly because of the grip of the topsheet.

Serves are low, controlled, very spinny.

This and V01 stiff are my two favorite penhold backhands, followed by an R47. The first two are super dependable, get the ball back in play with some pace type rubbers- The R47 for when I want to get a little saucy.

Резина показалась какой-то "пресной". Особо никакой. Чуть мягче, чем Vega Pro и жестче Vega Europe. Казалось бы идеальный баланс. То, что нужно. Но что-то с ней то. Лучше взять проверенную Vega Pro. Еще важный момент - какая резина стоит с другой стороны. Если ставить китай, то эта резина плохо ведет себя. Возможно, если подобрать правильную комбинацию основания и резины с обратной стороны эта резина покажет себя хорошо.

I'll have to use this more for a better appreciation, but my preliminary response is positive. Vega Japan seems faster than Vega Europe but has similar control characteristics. Vega rubber overall is high-quality and effective.

I tried many rubbers for my BH and FH. The specificity of the Japan is that the reject level is low, then if yours balls are very cutty, it's very difficult for your opponent to topspin on it. The best rubber for the forehand, speed, precision and much spin. Nice for blocking and very good for backhand counter play and spinny backhand. I play with it on both sides.

I bought this rubber in 1.8mm & 2.0mm, this rubber can generate a lot of spin, the control is also very good. It plays like a tamed version of the Tibhar MX-P rubber. However, the weight of this rubber is towards the heavy end.

For me the best rubber for topspin at the table or away from the table. Positive point, it doesn't create a big arc as the Tenergy or others rubber, but keep a linear height regarding the net. I already tried some others offensive rubber, but each time coming back to VJ. Moreover, on cutting balls it's very difficult for your opponent to place a topspin....

Hello a good rubber for the money. I got one 2.0mm and one max mm. I think a medium trained player can go to max plays well from close and medium distance from the table. It has enough spin for most shots depends on how you strike the ball. It is good value for the money .Xiom,as we know last a little longer than most rubbers. I keep it in double plastic special for blades as it keeps the rubber fresh and the factory booster sealed inside for longer. Inside the plastic it has oil as booster try to evaporate. Enjoy life and table tennis guys!!

C'est la première fois que je le prends en max, j'en suis enchanté. Les attaques loin de la table sont possibles, pas seulement à mi distance ou proche de la table. Effets forts, et surtout un contrôle dans les petit gestes près de la table, vraiment extraordinaire. Moins d'efforts et tout passe quand même! Bloc toujours aussi bon, je n'ai pas trouvé de défaut à ce revêtement! Je le recommande à tous ceux qui ont assez d'expérience pour jouer en max sans être dépassé par la vitesse.

Good quality with high catapult effect. Very soft for me (around 40-42 degree). Suitable for composite blade and for BH use.

Love it much more if catapult effect reduced and sponge hardened to 47-48 degree.

It is a very good rubber, fast, spinny with a very good control. I have read a lot of reviews saying it is better used for bh. Well I am using it in both sides of my blade xiom ignito st handle and it does everything easily. Loops, back loops smashes and even chopping. Highly recommended for offensive players.

I really like this on the backhand. I'm using it in 2.0mm on a Donic Appelgren 89 World Champion blade. It's a little softer than I expected it to be. I find it pretty stable for touch shots and pretty decent at spinning up the ball. I've been avoiding using my backhand loop until now. The throw and pace seems perfect for my strokes and I feel much more confident in looping.

Easy to do powerful shots from mid or far distance, slow brush at closed table, flicking on the table. It's good on any wood or composite blades.

I really like Vega Japan. I have it in red 2.0mm sponge. I use it on a Donic Defplay Senso for modern defense. I am able to loop, hit, push, and chop effectively with it. I was surprised at how well it chops back loops on the forehand side, but this may have a lot to do with my defensive blade. I would not hesitate to recommend this rubber to others though. It's really great for the price!

in ny case a really good rubber, wouldn't suggest it to beginners though this rubbers is quite fast little on the heavy side and reacts to spin quite a bit.
but it has great spin/speed potential. because the rubber bites the ball so well there is so much feedback from the rubber and experienced players should be able to take full advantage of this rubber.
