The Xiom Ice Cream AZXi has two limba outer plies and a Kiri core. However, sandwiched between the core and second limba ply, the AZXi has an inner carbon ply of ZLC on one side and an inner ply of ALC on the other side. This allows its users to have different playing characteristics on each side. The ALC allows for a softer and springier feel while the ZLC allows for a harder and more elastic feel. These inner carbon plies become activated fully on strong attacks. A truly special blade that allows you to tailor it to your style of play.

Good grip handle, very light and nice on the hand. I used golden tango on alc side for good feel of the ball and shockwave med pips on zlc side for heavier chopblocks and on the table attacks.

I love this blade. Have it paired with Rakza 7 soft. Has great feel, speed, and control.
31/01/2022 Отличное основание Review by Denis Genin
Quality

O9c on the F and Dig 64 on the B. Really good control; helps with shoot placement. I use it as my go-to racket for doubles.
31/12/2020 Good hand feeling and control Review by Victor Inokon

I haven't used this blade since I purchased it due to Covid-19 regulations and all the clubs being closed. However, I hit a couple of balls noisily in the apartment, so my housemates get annoyed. The hand feeling is good, feels flexible, and direct at the same time. I have no doubt it will outshine when used.
16/09/2020 Well built & balanced hybrid blade Review by A. Cruz

I wanted to try out this blade as a player that uses both ALC and ZLC blades. I used a Butterfly Matsudaira ALC blade for the stability it gives during play, especially on the forehand then I switch to Butterfly Mizutani ZLC, love the stability on the backhand but lost a little bit of the stability on the forehand also this blade is quick because of this I was not as confident with my forehand and needs to be precise when taking my shots.

I chose the AZXi with Dignics 80 both on FH and BH for an all-around play even though the blade is for attacking players because of the woody feel it gives due to the carbon placed near at its core to help me with stability and control and I was not disappointed. The Koto outer wood fitted to my needs with lots of control on both sides. Some players will compare this blade to a Butterfly Innerforce series blade as to how the carbon and wood are layered which I agree but most of the time an Innerforce blade is slower than other carbon blade but this is not the case for the AZXi, it is fast, quick. I can whip heavy slow topspin or speed it up when needed to. That being said this is not for beginners. The right technique is necessary to fully capitalize on the abilities of this blade. On the backhand when I’m a good position and brush the ball at the right time, it was outright winner, my backhand is untouchable. Even my coach mentioned that he can feel that my forehand loops and topspin are more controlled and fast.

As for service, I need faster acceleration to be able to get the ball over the net due to the softer outer wood layers. The blade handle is comfortable I didn't find any issue with it.
10/09/2019 A balance racket for offense Review by Winter Yu

Played for about 10 hours in the last month, backhand is perfect with Xiom Vega Asia and better than my former DHS Hurricane Long 5, but forehand is a little harder for control than Long 5.
