TSP

The company that grew to become TSP in 1946, started out in Japan in the 1930s as a company producing table tennis balls. In 2017, the name of TSPs parent company, Yamato Table Tennis Co, was changed to VICTAS Co, operating two table tennis brands, VICTAS and TSP, side-by-side. TSP is famous for its wide range of pimples-out rubbers, including Spectol, Spinpips, and Curl series. The original Spectol was developed in 1970 but continues to be used by top players including Han Ying (Top 10, Women’s singles; 2016 Olympics silver medalist Women’s teams) and Wu Yang (2009 World Junior Women’s Champion). Many new versions have been developed including the Spectol Red/Blue and Spinpips Red/Blue rubbers, which have a built-in ... speed glue effect. The Curl rubbers have been the weapon of choice for many long pip players over the years, including Suh Hyowon (Top 10, Women’s singles). TSP also offers high-quality inverted rubbers such as the Ventus and Regalis lines for modern attacking players. TSP also offers many interesting blades including the hugely popular Swat series and – of course – a rich selection of Japanese penholder blades. Did you know that “TSP” originally stood for Takashi Suzuki, the company’s founder, and “Peace”, while the current branding has it stand for “Total Support for all Players”? Show more Show less
