Donic Blue Feeling - FH Aurus Select / BH Nittaku Fastarc S-1

The Aurus has been a soothing dream to what was a nightmarish start to my table tennis experience. I started off with Butterfly 05 FX's on a Stiga Eternity VPS as my first racket and the ball was going everywhere. It was not fun. It was a blade sold to me so I decided to sit down, do my research and attack this problem with my own racket design.

As a new player I wanted to focus on technique but didn't want something that would be utterly slow and defeat the purpose, so I bypassed the slower cheaper rubbers and held off on Aurus Prime and decided to go medium hard +.

This rubber from day one payed off my decision. The ball stays on, the loops from the table provide problems for other players, and I feel my game has jumped as a result. In combination with a all around blade there is still plenty of speed on table but a few steps back it leave a bit to be desired, but you still get a nice spiny ball. Spin will remain but the speed will diminish.

When I work up the nerve to get me a OFF blade, I will seriously consider staying with this rubber or if not I will be getting the Aurus Prime.
