I have been playing C-PEN for a long time from wood made in the 80s transitioning to wood-carbon tech made blades, compared to my Butterfly China-lak super offensive wood and YASAKA Max3D carbon, the Stiga Legacy 12K carbon is exceptional and surprisingly well balanced. 12K carbon strands per weave does the trick. Usually 12K vs conventional 3K, is heavier, more dense, stiffer by a mile. But the blade is made thin and it even lighter than YASAKA MAX 3D carbon. The legacy 12K is also surprisingly softer than MAX 3D and yet feels equally fast and powerful. Within the stiff parameters, 12K legacy is on the softer side and gives you more impact absorption feel, and sounds more wood than MAX3D. Unlike the MAX3D is hard, fast, powerful, the legacy 12K edges in control that makes an above average player gets more contact friction shaping the direction of the ball better. This blade makes your playing feel good as it has the balance of Speed, Spin, Control and long distance counter spin attack moves. Good for refine players that focus on control instead of power as the saying goes, "power with control is useless". This blade is much faster than the Dynasty Carbon. It requires more proper and much faster-looping skills with better footwork. It could have good spins and speed if you can drive it properly. It would be a better choice for intermediate plus or advanced players who can play more aggressively. Dynasty carbon is better for average players.Quality
