The Nittaku Tenaly Feruku is a 3+2 offensive blade with Kevlar plies under the top layers of Hinoki wood. It has a unique bent handle that provides a special grip which some people consider more natural than standard shakehand handles. This unique handle has gathered a substantial minority of loyal fans in Japan. Without a doubt, this unique blade provides a special feeling that is highly prized by some players. This blade can also be used with a penhold grip. Made in Japan.

02/01/2020 Fun to use Review by Paul Bourdess
Quality
I've played with the regular Tenaly as well as the carbon, and this one has a unique feel with a faster play. My main blade is a Nittaku Miyabi, which is a one ply hinoki. This Feruku has outer layers of similar quality Hinoki, and then Kevlar, then the center ply which I am unsure its type. Anyway, it plays almost like a split between a one ply blade and a carbon blade. On slow swings, it feels more controllable than carbon. On fast/hard swings it is very fast, and produces a loud cracking sound that is distinctive. I found it easier to loop on my backhand than a regular handled blade, and blocking was also easier. It helped my forehand drive, but loops took a little adjustment (once I played a bit, looping was actually easier than normal). At top speed, its actually faster than my Miyabi with the same rubber (Gambler Mech-Tek... picture a slower/less spinny Tenergy for reference) I did also try a tacky rubber with harder sponge and it also worked well. The soft hinoki and hard Kevlar
