Nittaku Barwell

This product was discontinued and would no longer be available.

Number of Layers : 7
approximate weight (g) : 88
Blade Type : OFF
thickness (mm) : 6.6
The Nittaku Barwell is a 7 ply blade. With its upper plies being made from harder wood, it is considerably faster than the Nittaku Adelie blade which is similarly constructed. The addition of a harder wood also has the effect of making the blade heavier as well. Made in Japan.

19/06/2019 Very nice blade. Review by Gil from Brazil
After two weeks of playing with Barwell, I have to say: It's an excellent wood!
It is a little faster than the Ludeack Power and with a lot of control.
Rubbers that I played with are Dignics 05 and T64.
The finish of the Barwell is like all the woods from Nittaku: Perfect.
Thank you TT11 for the fast shipping!
31/05/2019 Do it all 7 ply Review by M.A.
One of the best 7 plywood. Outstanding control, balance, power and spin. If you like 7 plies and hate composites, like me, you cannot go wrong with this one.

Keep up the good work.
26/12/2018 Best all wood blade I have tried so far Review by Sanjeev Kumar
When you hit the ball you feel where you are hitting, you can accelerate the speed and control on touch plays. I’ll might not use composite blades anymore because this one does all. Quality and finishing of the blade is simply amazing, but that’s what Nittaku is known for.

This is very good finishing and top quality blade. It is easy to control and match power.
23/08/2016 10 Review by Greta Rogovin
Быстрое дерево с хорошей акустикой. Из-за объёма ручки больше подходит для мужской руки,но это мое субъективное мнение.Спасибо большое за быструю и надежную доставку. Советую и товар и продавца.
12/02/2016 Great Review by KO Joe
I have it with ST handle, and it's really a confortable blade.
It is fast, but not crazy fast and a very good control.
The feeling in your hand is just awesome.
It's really a blade that you can trust.
I have Tibhar's MX-P 2.1 and EL-P 1.7 on it, and it's a great combination.
Previously I was playing with Donic's Applegren with chinese rubbers, and I feel like I don't even lost control but gained significant speed with my actual combo.
I would recommend.

feels like a little Honda......until you floor accelerator ...the power & speed is like a turbo.
16/10/2014 The 2nd best all-wood blade I've tried Review by slevin
I've tried Violin, Acoustic, Virtuoso, Ludeack and many others. This is the 2nd best all-wood blade I've tried (only beaten by Nittaku's Meister Holz Sieben - a much more expensive blade).

This blade has great 'catch' that provides dwell on mid-distance drives. Very large sweet spot (just like the popular composites').

It has great gears. From at the table, Viscaria / TB-ALC seem bouncier. From away from the table, I loved the power & catapault of the Barwell more. Slightly flexier than the Viscaria. Good balance. Amazing FL handle (the best I've tried so far).
