The Neottec X5 is a worldclass, high quality Japanese rubber. Designed to be spinny, the topsheet’s surface and pimple structure are combined with springy and dynamic sponge, resulting in a great balance of spin and speed. The FCH technology adds a specific ball feeling and a very satisfying clicking sound. Available in two versions, the slightly more control focused S version and the marginally faster M version, this rubber allows you to balance your racket as you please.

Quality

Very High Percentage Forehand Drives, and Counter Drives.
High Percentage Power Block and Punch Shots.
I prefer to play power backhand drives just back from the table hitting the ball with a short wristy shot, catelevered by moving the elbow.
If the ball is too high just punch it.
Excellent for flicks, as service returns or in third ball returns.

Quality

Don`t be messed with S in the name... This may be described as soft in comparison with the regular version only (Maybe S means Speed? needs to be compared head to head with the regular version though...). Sponge hardness feels like a fair 48 on the ESN scale. The sponge is fine-pored, elastic, and firm. Grip is on the highest level, spin sensitivity as well). Speed is equal to MXP regular ( maybe a bit less ), Arch is lower and longer than T05, but shorter and higher the MXP - I wouldn`t say in between - closer to MXP. If you are looking for tolerance and forgiveness - try to look somewhere else. Rubber is NOT supporting passive strokes in any way, touch and short game, passive soft blocks, intuitive or rescue shots - it's not about X5-S.
Mature technique, decent footwork, and top-spin aggressive mindset - must-have to be happy and enjoy the game with X-5S. Otherwise, if you are an experienced user of Tenergies ( NOT FX versions !!!!), paying for equipment by yourself, or tired of boosting fragile MXP-sponge - it will definitely be worth trying. Накладка очень неплохая, я бы сказал, самый оптимальный аналог Т05, зацеп отличный, вращение хорошее, скорость чуть меньше чем Т05, хороший контроль....
