Rubber type : inverted
The Goldarc 8 has legendary elasticity and a high amount of grip. This rubber employs its sturdy pimple geometry to maximize its elasticity. The pimples used are very large to increase the power produced from the mid-distance. The rubber gets excellent feedback and a clear sound upon contact with the ball, providing the player with much confidence in his shots. The Goldarc 8 is suitable for both the forehand and backhand of a blade. The Goldarc 8 was worked on by the DHS development center, German rubber experts, and multiple-time world champions, Wang Liqin, and Ma Long, to create the perfect highly elastic, non-tacky rubber. This rubber is the soft version.

Blade: Viscaria
Goldarc 50: nice combo..all round to offensive rubber
Goldarc 47.5: Better than goldarc 50 on my blade..looping excellent, blocking is automatic.. opening backspin, counter loop better than R 47, Goldarc 50. it feels like a faster version of Rakza 7.

31/08/2021 Very consistent rubber Review by JAUGCELIN MOLINA
Quality
You can't really describe the safety that the Goldarc8 provides, Along with my DHS H301 it has very good speed for my FH, great touch, good spin, and best of all, excellent control. Medium-high durability, you have to be rigorous with cleaning so that it maintains the stickiness. In my case 8 months with 6 hours a week, which I consider very good.
07/08/2021 The best backhand rubber I've ever tried. Review by Lauris Vugulis
Quality
I got this rubber for my backhand side and literally the second I started playing with it the quality really shined. It has a lot of spin and the control is amazing. And the speed is good as well, not the fastest rubber, but I have no problem with it far from the table. Flicks are effortless with this rubber, the amount of spin you can put on the ball with this rubber is huge, by far the best backhand rubber I've tried. At least it suites my playing style the best out of all the rubbers I've played with.

18/02/2021 This rubber has a good balance of spin, speed and control. Review by Kurtison Lynch
Quality
This rubber checks all boxes ie spin speed control. It’s deceptively spinny. It’s not very spin sensitive allowing for a stable counter-attack and it’s great for opening up against a backspin or topspin return. You’ll find that even attacking a Chiquita return becomes easier given a player has the right technique of course. At times it will cause opponents to misjudge the spin on your ball forcing errors like blocking the ball to the net because the rubber at times causes an extreme downward arc after it arrives on their court/table or they block outside the table because the didn’t adjust or anticipate the degree of spin. In a market where rubbers seem to hit the market every month this rubber imho stands the test of time and gives you a great bang for your buck. I must add in closing that it has great longevity and is quite durable.
01/12/2020 Качество накладки Review by Genady Karakis

Я играю этой накладкой больше двух лет. В начале она кажется немного неживой, но после двух недель ощущение пропадает. Не самая быстрая накладка, но очень контрольная. Хватает где то на год, потом свойства значительно ухудшаются.

13/11/2020 A good all round tensor rubber Review by topspin888
Quality
GA8 47.5 Degree is a very well made well-balanced rubber. The top sheet is grippy and elastic. So it is made to execute those slow spiny opening loops. This rubber will allow you to be a bit more aggressive on the receiving game because of this characteristic.
I use this rubber on my forehand and this rubber can generate some good spin on serves. I use it on the DHS Power G5 blade, which is a slower version of the DHS Hurricane Long blade. It fits very well with this blade. I can generate powerful shots if I want to. The rubber is very linear. So you get what you put in. The rubber also has plenty of gear. In slow pushes, it feels a bit dead and keeps the ball short. In long, nasty pushes, you can generate some spin with it.
It is also very steady on the block with this. Although the sponge is 47.5 degrees, it feels softer due to the softer topsheet. All in all, I like it very much. I like this better than Evo MXP for sure.
Also, this rubber can last for a long time. The topsheet stays grippy. If you need to make it alive again, just boost it with some lamp oil to let it expand back to original size and it plays like new again. Well done DHS on this Germany made rubber.
07/11/2020 Nice attacking rubber Review by Victor

To me, it feels almost exactly like tenergy 05 with less cost. I am sure if I played with it more I could probably tell them apart, but upon putting the two against each other without that it is very hard for me to tell the difference.
03/11/2020 My favorite bh rubber Review by Patrick Keville

Best control with enough power. Pretty good durability. Excellent at looping underspin.
12/08/2020 I really want to like it (RPB) Review by Michael Jones
Quality
When the stars align and the shot connects juuust right, it feels amazing. But those are just too few for me. Too often a soft block just dribbles into the net, or flick gets no lift, or a full stoke just rockets off past the table. It’s that wide range that is throwing me off. The first point, soft-touch barely even got to the net; next point, adjust to increase the power and it’s gone. But when that sweet spot does appear, it’s great. So, I will end up playing it until it dies, hoping to find more consistency. I do think I might enjoy it on the FH, as having that many gears would be more comfortable there.
07/08/2020 Confidence Review by Vladimir Shastin
Quality
This rubber first seems to be better for passive style - predictable blocks and easily controllable counterstrokes. But you can produce also surprisingly much spin with decent speed and control.
05/08/2020 The best rubber for my forehand Review by VIctor Jimenez
Quality
I have used the GA8 for more than 1 year, it really is a fantastic tire, I use it in my forehand, I have excellent control, good turn and the speed appears just when I need it. It is a good rubber for a backhand but I have opted for a harder rubber. For now, I will not change it from my right, by the way, the best of all is durability ... I recommend it for those who want a Chinese rubber, with ESN technology, it has the best qualities of both worlds.

23/03/2020 Very good allround rubber Review by Lars Afrell
Quality
It is very good for spin, speed, and control without being exceptional in for example speed. It is easy to play with and in summary a very good allrounder. The only disturbing thing is the tendency to shrink when reglued.
22/02/2020 DHS Gold Arc 8 47.5 Max Sponge Review by Robert Yang
Quality
Great rubber and good qualities for sure in the short game to attacking game. Paired with Stiga Carbonado 90 on forehand. At first, the sponge of the rubber felt too hard and the feeling was weird dead and too direct with no good feeling. After a few hours of playing, a rubber sponge broke in and became very steady and powerful. Driving, looping, countering and counter looping close, mid to far, you can do everything with this rubber. The spin factor is a little lower than Tenergy, Hurricane 3 Neo, MX-S, and MX-P. Speed is enough. More importantly proper technique is key.
10/02/2020 Great backhand rubber Review by Petar Hristov
Quality
I have been using it since last year and this is the best backhand rubber for me, you can block easily, you can loop backspin balls, you can chop, you can do it all, also it is a very durable rubber my last sheet which is from September and it still has around 20% life left if we take in consideration that I mainly played outdoors on different weather conditions(cold, moist, hot weather).
I can recommend this rubber for anyone who wants is seeking a great backhand rubber it is fantastic and at least in my experience it lasts a really long time if you take good care of it(I have only used DHS sponge and DHS rubber cleaner), I have used it with 47.5 hardness and 2.00mm sponge.

14/12/2019 Max thickness - Backhand Rubber Perfection Review by Mark Elert
Quality
What if you could brush short, tight, spinny receives; block ripped drives; push everything low; open with confidence; serve low and really short, and loop-drive your backhand about the same speed as your forehand?...
Welcome to Goldarc 8.
26/11/2019 It's all about the control Review by topspin168
Quality
Goldarc 8 (GA8) is a well-built rubber that offers great control to the game. I use it on my BH and it is very good at blocking and opening spin. Some may consider this rubber a bit too slow. In my passive block test, it is slightly slower than Xiom Vega Pro. But if you use your active stroke, it is about the same.

But GA8 is better in bitting the ball and so the slow opening BH loop to open the game. Banana flip and pushes are easy to execute.

It is also good with smashes as well. If there is any downside to this, it will be the feeling of it. It is not as crispy as say Tenegy 05 because the rubber hardness is 47 degrees. So it feels hard. But also because of this, the rubber is very direct and predictable. So in the end, this depends on your style of play, this rubber can be a great BH rubber.

I think that most players may play this in their FH. But I have tried it a few times and it does not generate strong spin in serves. So for me, this is a BH rubber. But it is a very good one for sure.
21/11/2019 GREAT RUBBER Review by DAVID HESSLING
Quality
I tried several rubbers, Tenergy 05, Tenergy 80, MX-P, MX-S, Bluefire, DHS Hurricane 3 Neo, DHS 8 Hard, Gewo XT Pro 50. Now I'm using the Gold Arc 8 2.1mm with 47.5 hardness on a BTY Timo Boll ALC blade and it was my choice over the Tenergy series. The GA8 is relatively slow in the passive game with fantastic spin and control. As soon as you play active the catapult effect releases an impressive power: A Tibhar MX-P is just slightly faster, but with fewer gears, spin and much less control. GA8 stays stable at harder shots, not like a lot of too soft tensor rubbers that drop the power when hitting through the sponge. Surprisingly the sensitivity to spin is not too high and blocks are incredibly easy. Meanwhile, I use it on both sides of the racket. Maybe the best ESN-made rubber ever and a must-try! This is NOT a Chinese style rubber and it is made in Germany.

Next time I'd like to try the harder G8 50 deg. :D

24/10/2019 Backhand Blue Ribbon Winner! Review by Mark Elert
Quality
Well...it's been about two years, dozens of trials, and I finally, finally, settled on the BH rubber: Goldarc 8 - 47.5 deg. Why? Lifts backspin easy, flips, high spin/ tighter loop, many gears, finish point speed, not bouncy, minimal spin sensitivity, deadly push spin, spinny/short/controlled BH serves, short-touch control. The ball goes where I believe it should more consistently. Other rubbers in comparison... T05-too reactive, MXP-too long, Andro R/V-not enough tack, T64-too flat, T80-2nd place but too much $, tried Xioms, Donics, other DHSs, Nittaku, Tibhars...all have great elements, but this rubber has the best combination imho.

08/01/2019 Excellent European-style rubber Review by Ladislav Haluska
Quality
Great job, DHS. Although I bought this for my backhand, and the rubber is a bit too hard for my newly adapted playing style, on forehand, it worked the best for me from any EuroJap rubbers I have tried, well, perhaps except Tenergy 05, but, G8 is much better in a short game.

Rubber feels softer as expected due to relative soft topsheet. Not very fast, but that's actually a good thing. Nice combination of spin, speed and control.

Amazing rubber, you can do everything with it. Grippe, lots of spin, controllable, suitable for every shot ( maybe less for smashes) However, collect dust very fast, so need to clean it quite often. Other than that, love it!

me gusta esta goma, es muy rápida y con spin también aceptable la uso para BH, hasta ahora me va muy bien, cuando juego mis oponentes no saben como contestar cuando utilizo mi BH por la velocidad y spin que genera esta goma.

23/01/2018 No weaknesses Review by King Bhattacharyya
Quality
Good rubber for Allround use. A better player than me may prefer something with a larger catapult, I use max 47.5 black on forehand and the speed is high without being blistering.

Solid on pushes, okay on chops (I rarely forehand chop anyway), very good on loops and serves. Overall no complaints.

I have tried all these rubbers:
Tenergy 64, MXP, Gold Arc 5, GKI Hybrid GX, Vega Pro, Rakza 7, Rakza X and I found that this is above all of them; Does everything you tell it to.

I want to buy 4 more pairs; but, there is so much demand for this rubber that it is always out of stock.

07/08/2017 Just amazing Review by AL
Quality
I got both 2.0 2.1, if i had to compare it to any other rubber. i would say if you mix mxp and els you will get this with best of both worlds. the 2.1 is actually really fast.

the spin on it is amazing, flick is a joke. i was not even spinning the ball on my returns and people were have issues returning the balls back and tell me to stop putting sping on the ball.

service are amazing. most people can't even return my service.

control on it is very good also. not too sensitive to spin. mind you. i never usually have too much trouble with that and any rubber.

you have to use very short strokes with this rubber or else the ball will go way too far and too fast. but if you master the short stroke you would be surprised on how fast and spinny is rubber really is.

Will def buy it again once my rubbers old. i have played about 20 hours on them and barely any marks on either colour.

will buy both at 2.0. max on forehard is too strong for me.
