I only wish I tried darker blades earlier so I didn't have to spend much.

Darker blades are not only relatively cheaper but the build quality is probably even more higher than butterfly blades.

Aesthetically the only gripe I have is the handle lens but other than that everything else that matters is top quality.

The feeling of it is also good. I could control the ball more. This specific blade is not fast - but it lets me direct the ball more which is my style of play.

I always like Darker blades due to their build quality. This blade didn't disappoint me. It has an excellent feel while holding and has a wide sweet spot. I especially love the sound of the hinoki wood when playing. An excellent blade for an intermediate player like me. Having said that, if I had enough money to spend, I would have gone on Darker Speed 90 which is my all-time favorite.

This blade is a perfect balance between control and power. The 7 plies give this blade a solid/stiff feel however the Hinoki construction makes it perfect for soft touches as well as power loops. The t version has about 20% more power and slightly less feel. Darker Hinoki 7p-2a is very similar to the now-discontinued Butterfly Jonyer Hinoki Special

This is the exact blade I was looking for: soft, with good control, not too speedy and a perfect handle (no need for sanding at all). It has very good touch for the short game, paired with Rakza 7 on FH and R7 soft on BH, both 1.8. The main complaint most people would have is the lack of speed, but for me it´s not true. If your strokes are good, you'll be rewarded with more than enough speed and spin, close and far from the table. The best thing about this all-hinoki blade is the feeling when striking the ball. It is really fun to play with. In addition, the finishes are perfect. The quality of the blade is noticeable (you could not expect less from Darker). I'm really happy, highly recommended, great product.
