I would not buy again.

Nice controllable rubber for backhand. I've only tried it on Stiga infinity, and it works well. To be honest, I feel like all tensor rubbers are very similar. I don't feel much difference among andro rasant powergrip, nittaku fastarc, donic acuda, and yasaka raksa 7. I've tried them all for backhand and they are all pretty good. Some feel slightly bouncier than others, but overall you won't need much time to adjust. I suggest getting whichever one that suits your budget. Investing in a good blade is much more important.

I bought the 2.0mm thickness of this rubber and it's the best rubber I've used. Let's all admit it that we're no Ma Longs and no Zhang Jikes. At best the majority of us are hobbyists and mid-range skilled players. But we all like that carbon blade which we all know is too fast for our skill anyway. Well this is the rubber for people like us. It gives us back the spin and dwell time we lose when we bought that super fast blade that we know is really out of our skill range.

First of all, I'm a recreational player of modest to low tt skills and knowledge and I don't have much experience with various blades/rubbers. My playing style could be summed up in two sentences.
1. Typically, I tend to open the game very early in the point with BH topspin and then, during the BH exchange, wait for my chance to take over with FH drives/loops.
2. When I step away from the table, I play FH almost exclusively.

Anyway, last week I changed my complete setup.
My old racket: Avalox BT 555 / Acuda S2 (2 mm) / Butterfly Sriver FX (1.9 mm).
My new racket: Donic Waldner Senso Carbon / Acuda P2 (2 mm) / Xiom Vega Elite (1.8 mm).
I wanted to upgrade my BH by making a transfer from Sriver to a tensor, and I wanted it to be as painless as possible. So, my choice had to be some soft, forgiving tensor and after some research I chose Xiom VE.

After unpacking, I've noticed that VE sponge was colored creamy white and that rubber curled up, which is in contrast with Omega V series rubbers which all have black sponges and are flat upon unpacking. Immediately after gluing I had my first training (2 hours) with this new setup. The training included 1 hr of simple topspin exercises and 1 hr of sparring with a much better player, a semi-pro who limited his game to pestering me with pushes, chops and blocks with occasional to rare punishing drive/loop in order to let me be aggressive while constantly pushing me to the limits and out of my comfort zone.

Naturally, what changed the most was the new energy booming from my BH. My loops took less effort and had a lot of additional spin and power, and I had less problem lifting the chopped balls over the net regardless of the amount of underspin or the ball distance from the net. Also, blocking with VE felt great, as if I had an additional control over the ball so I could block more actively and be more dangerous instead of just being clay pigeon for the opponent's spins.

I did have some problems with short game, pushing and passive serve receive though, but that just means that I need to spend some time to adjust my technique.

One final remark. During my training, especially while blocking, I could often hear/feel the ball sink all the way trough the rubber/sponge and hit the top ply of the blade, and the whole bat vibrated and sounded weird after a stronger hit, but I don't think it affected the quality of my shots. This might be due to the Senso handle and might have nothing to do with the VE per se. Or it could be a combination of those two factors - a soft sponge and a hollow handle.

Anyway, all in all, so far I'm really satisfied with Xiom VE, I think it's a good and controllable tensor that could sit well on a BH side of some spin-oriented allround attacker's blade. I also recommend it as a BH gateway rubber in transition from some classic rubber to a tensor.

My favorite rubber, which I plan to use for a long time, at least on the forehand. Lightweight and soft, easy to cut, grippy rather than tacky surface. Extremely durable and long lasting, degrades very slowly. Quite a fast, springy rubber, especially if paired with a more offensive blade. If you like your rubber to do all the work for you then you may like this rubber. With this rubber I really enjoy blocking, chopping, attacking against chop, looping against topspin. I feel I can do any of my normal ping pong skills, and if I make a mistake it's not because of the rubber. I like how the rubber holds on to the ball for just the right amount of time to fully engage the sponge. One thing I've noticed, the ball tends to go long off the end more than some other rubbers if I'm sloppy with my technique. This may be a little too fast for some players' backhands, depending on how they play; I feel okay using it for my backhand for now but ideally I would want something a little more boring on that side. Overall, very high quality and resilient rubber, and good value. Would easily cost at least twice as much if this was a Butterfly or Stiga product.

Softest rubber I used. Good control, good chop. Fits off- and ar+ blades, I couldn't use with off blade. I'm using it at backhand mostly for chop and block, but smashes are also deadly.

I personally loved "soft" rubbers/sponges. They give u excellent control and still has enough spin and speed for an all round controlled game [Backhand]
I have used Xiom Vega Europe and Xiom Omega Elite (best one) .All excellent for Backhand smash ,flick and chop...very good control

My play fits soft rubber and it is the best for me, comparable with Donic Desto F3. Well balanced speed and control. The cracking sound when hit is also good.
