Comfortable shoe and grippy sole. The sole has lots of small nubs though, and after just a dozen sessions or so the nubs are wearing out and going smooth under the ball of my foot. So, nice shoe, but not sure what the longevity of the sole is going to be like. My regular Asics court shoes last at least a year of playing twice a week before the tread pattern wears smooth.

This review is from one year after I purchased them, so I thought I would speak to longevity.

This shoe has a unique construction from any shoe I've seen:
The whole thing is essentially a molded plastic boot, with the rubber sole glued around the bottom. This is great for grip, and Xiom has the best treads of any brand, that wrap around the edges to allow for better lateral movement. It also makes the shoe quite hard and sturdy, so if you want no squish whatsoever this is the shoe for you as no energy is lost on movement. They feel tight in a way that is good for table tennis.

However, there a couple downsides to this. Because of the plastic, the shoe does not breathe well. This will probably be fine for most people, but if you have overly sweaty feet (as I do), this may not want to be your primary shoe as it becomes a real swamp.
The other downside is that because of this construction, I had the sole of my shoe peel away from the rest of it after about 6 months of play. However, it is repaired more easily with glue than if the sole was sewn in like most shoes.

Overall, these shoes feel incredible to play in--my favorite of the three TT shoes I've bought---but don't be surprised if you have to fix em eventually.

Very happy with these shoes. The grip is amazing and does not get slippery like the pair of Mizuno Wave drive shoes I used to have. I never have to use water to recover grip with these shoes.
The styling is great. Looks very modern and sleek with stealthy colors.
