The product arrived in its original packaging, but had been opened by a third party in advance: sadly the pre-perforated compartment for the enclosed XIOM grinders had been torn open and emptied. Thanks to the tabletennis11 customer service the missing grinder pack was added to my next order for free.

As expected, the racket shows great Japanese craftsmanship and quality control and is without flaws. The wood has a very bright and clear sound, better than my XIOM Power Hinoki and I manage more precise strokes compared to the Power Hinoki. I currently use the Hibi O in combination with the Nittaku Fastarc-G1 (2.0 mm sponge) which allows for great rallies and powerful shots. In combination with the XIOM grinders it's very easy to modify the blade to make it fit like a glove.

Compared to classic square-shaped Japanese Penhold blades the XIOM Hibi O is a bit more narrow at the top but has a wider surface at the center of the blade. This modified shape shifts the center of gravity slightly towards the grip and enables faster wrist movement, especially switching from backhand to forehand and vice versa.

In summary I can only say that in the Hibi O price range it does not get any better than this. I rate this blade 10/10.

I used to use butterfly blades, and officially, Butterfly does not distribute Jpen blades on Europe, and I wasn't willing to buy one via ebay or something like that. And the fact Butterfly does not make Jpen available in Europe made me angry, and made me try a different brand. So, I purchased this blade as a 2nd option, attempt to replace my old butterfly blades (since I couldn't buy a butterfly blade due the facts mentioned above). The thing is, it's been about 2 months since I'm using this blade, and I literally fell in love with it. It replaced my old T-Max from butterfly, and as long as Xiom does not screw up the manufacture of this blade, I will never come back to butterfly again. The blade shape is a bit different from the ones I have from butterfly, so, took me a while to get used to it, but I really loved this blade, and by far, is one of the best blades I've ever used, Xiom made this blade to compete against Butterfly T-Max (same price range as expected too), and it really exceeds in quality, comfort, it has a really good feeling as expected from Hinoki wood. I'm probably one of the fewer JPen players left in Europe, and for sure, and this was my first Xiom blade, and for sure I'll stay with Xiom from now on, and I'm probably going to buy a second one before Xiom also gives up producing JPen blades :P

This penhold grip blade is just perfect. It has the right balance for me to perform some deadly topspin loops, curves, and cuts. The Hinoki wood is also very smooth and was easy to sand down to fit my hand.

All in all, this is just an extraordinary blade for jpen grip.

Best jpen blade I've played so far. Powerful one ply Kiso Hinoki with great control, very fast and very beautiful. Great for blocks too. I do not really want to recommend this blade to a beginner because it´s very fast blade.

I thought the price is not for a good jap pen. I thought the blade is too light for a good jap pen. 10.5mm just 87g.
I'm wrong. The blade is wow-ly good! The wood is good, the rings are very condensed and straight!
The blade is not heavy not bcos of the lightness of the wood, it is the shape. The head side is a bit narrow (you may think of Jo-shape blade) so the total weight is less than 100, think of it, you can move the wood very fast....
I love it! What's more, the finishing of the blade is excellent!!!!
Better than the bty blue RSM.
For the price like this, it's WOW.
