The Japanese brand Victas may only have been in existence since 2009 but it has already left its mark on table tennis. Legendary Japanese defender Koji Matsushita is at the helm of Victas and he strives to develop a revolutionary brand with second-to-none commitment and passion for innovation. Victas has already managed to produce several high-end products including the V>15 rubber series, which by many is considered to be a serious competitor to Butterfly’s Tenergy series. Other rubbers that have been developed by Victas’ German and Japanese material experts include the V>01, Vs>401, Vs>402, as well as the VO>101 and VO>102 short pips that have been adopted by many Japanese players. Victas has launched ... several blades including the Koji Matsushita blades that are especially designed for classic or modern defenders, as well as the Fire Fall and Quartet lines for offensive play. Victas recently signed with young Japanese superstars Koki Niwa (2010 Youth Olympic and 2011 Youth Junior World Champion men’s singles; 2016 Olympics men’s singles quarterfinalist), who uses the Victas Quartet AFC blade together with Victas V>15 Extra rubbers, and Yuto Muramatsu (2014 Youth Olympic and 2014 Youth Junior World vice-champion men’s singles) who uses the Victas Koji Matsushita Offensive blade.
