Number of Layers : 3
approximate weight (g) : 88
Blade Type : OFF+
thickness (mm) : 6.7
Like its brother, H-3-9 is a 100%-made from Hinoki and is a 3-ply wood: two external thinner layers and one thicker central layer increase the ball control with minimal speed loss. It is more dynamic than the H-1-9 and also better controllable. The rough edges of the racket shape to the grip were smoothened. This blade is available in all grip shapes and constitutes the ideal alternative for the offensive player after the glue ban.

Very fast and at the same time, very controlled. The sound is also very good,
loud and clear!
28/02/2021 great disappointment Review by Leonid Schepkin

I looked for a back-up to my Nittaku Miyabi, a Japanese single ply hinoki blade. It provides a superb feel of the ball with soft vibrations, great control, and frantic speed when hitting. The only issue is its thickness, 9 mm. So, I’d like to find another blade with similar playing features but not thicker than 7.5 mm. After long research, I aimed to 3-plies hinoki blade. However, a blade of this structure is a rarity on the market now. Donic, Darker, and TSP discontinued their famous models (Waldner Dotec Hinoki, Mai Gouban, and Pure Hinoki accordingly). So, as soon as I discovered Tibhar H-3-9 at TT11, I ordered it at once. And after 2 or 3 weeks I received the desired parcel. The blade looks very good and of high quality, however… the first thing I paid attention to was very thin outer layers, less than 1 mm each. All of the mentioned top 3-ply blades have 2-4-2 mm structure that (together with perpendicular directions of fibers of the core and the inner plies) gives the combination of high speed with good feel of the ball and control. Unfortunately, my doubt proved. Covered with the same rubbers that Miyabi (Palio HK1997 gold sponge on FH and Palio AK47 red sponge on BH), it plays as an ordinary racket, moderately fast (OFF-), moderate control (8 of 10), with no specific feel expected from pure hinoki blades. After 2-week of playing, I got rid of it without any doubt or pity. Now my hunting is continuing for 3-ply hinoki blade, new or used.

This is the first all hinoki blade that I have used and it is amazing. It might very slightly on the heavy side, but it's short and fat head keep the centre of gravity of the the blade with the rubbers very close to your wrist, which makes it relatively easy to swing with. It is a bit flexible, but not too much, and has very good top spinning capabilities. It is fast but has good control. I was fed up with all these exotic materials, and this blade has given me a new spring in my game so to speak. I love it.
08/02/2013 If you commit, the blade will perform Review by George Pittas

This is a fast blade that gives you a good enough feeling. It is not too heavy and has a relatively short head, making it feel compact and it is possible to swing it with your wrist even when heavy rubbers are included. I would have like it to be a click softer and have more dwell time, so that I can get an arc when loop the serves that just creep of the table. But during the ralies, if you commit to a shot, the blade will flourish and give you good speed and good control. Maye not the best feeling, but the ball will fly on the table. You can also start having doubts about how much spin can be produced with this blade, and I am not sure that it does produce very much because of the relatively short dwell time. But will persist as it has shown promise.
