Rubber type : short pips
SpinLord Keiler is a fast medium pips rubber. It combines a soft topsheet with a medium-hard sponge. Keiler can be used both for attack and defense. Blocking, chopping, counter attacks, hard drives; almost everything is possible with this rubber (only playing topspins with this rubber is more difficult). Keiler is more of a rubber to confuse the opponent by playing a mixture of passive blocking and active counter attacks.

Not for the beginner. Too fast and has some disadvantages for defensive players.

07/02/2018 Medium pip rubber great for attacking. Review by Steve Hochman
Quality
After about 45 years of smooth inverted both sides and two winged attacking (looping and quick over the table backhand flips), I thought I'd try something completely different...just on my FH. Not willing to give up my BH attack as it's been my strong part of my game. I quickly found I can loop safely with the Keiler and incredibly, flat hit right through pushes/chops from over the table. The key is to NOT overhit. I've also found it a lot of fun to chop from mid-far distance when facing strong loopers. My USATT rating may initially crash, but I have a feeling it's temporary and my new style will provide added variety and an eventual rating boost...more importantly, it's just a lot of fun trying something completely different..

this pips rubber is great for my game. I use it in 1.2 for backhand control and attack it is difficult for the opponent to play against but you need to give yourself time to be able to use it well. good stuff spinlord and again top service from tt 11
05/04/2017 High control rubber Review by Joseph Drolet
Quality
I have played with medium pips for around 15 years now, and I have tried a lot of them. Some of my friends call me the medium pip master.

I ordered the Spinlord Keiler in 1.5mm sponge. I find that this is a decent sponge thickness for both attack, and blocking. This rubber to me is a very high controlled rubber with minimal disruptive effect. Obviously if you were to play with this in OX it would play differently. I am basing this off of 1.5 sponge. I hit very consistently with the rubber. In practice I don't believe I missed a counter attack or a block. However I prefer some disruptive qualities with my backhand pips. If you only want control this rubber would be excellent, but if you want some disruption you may want to try something else.

Best short pips I ever used!!!! I use it in 1.5mm and the speed in simply crazy. Easy to return the serve and very powerful blocks. The control is just perfect. The only little default is the spin.

12/07/2016 good medium pips Review by Joe Mo
Quality
I have played with many different short pips and medium pips on my FH. Keiler (I am using 1.8 sponge) plays much like the Chinese 563 yet has a little more grip which makes it more effective in flipping short serves to my FH. On counter drives the bounce is nice and l low. Blocks can be quite funky. Keiler is a good quality rubber and fun to play with.

18/03/2016 Backhand medium pimples Review by Kamarulzaman Thiara

Very disruptive and tricky shots return with decent speed to confuse opponents. Used on the backhand of the blade. Returns are low and most of the time grazing the net and over the opponent side.
12/03/2016 my evaluation is not be objective Review by Antonijus Kondratas

I expected to use 1,5mm on forhand. Did not justify hopes. Nothing compares to spinlord waran. Ball shots are too weaks. For pushing, keeping ball - yes. And very unpredictable. I never fail to play with half long pimples. This time was not exeption. Maybe on backhand?
08/03/2016 A Little Boaring Review by Ken
Quality
I wanted to change my style of play to more of an attacking/hitting game than a spinning/attacking game. In my research about attacking with pips I learned pips out on a fast blade is essential. So I put Spinlord Waran 2.0 on the forehand and Keiler 2.0 on the backhand.both on an Andro CSV Fast+ blade. The Waran is plenty fast but the Keiler was noticeably slower. My practice partner picked up on this right away. If you want more control and some deception then Keiler is your rubber. Want more deception? Use thinner sponge. This "slowness" made me change my BH timing. I felt I needed to reach out to meet the ball rather than let it come into the hitting zone. Keiler is very good rubber but just not quite fast enough for my BH. So...I put Waran 2.0 there. We'll see what happens.
07/03/2016 FH Review Review by Pipsonbothsdies

Used 1.5 on FH. Can produce anytime of shot with these pips. Loops are the most difficult. But flat fast smashes. Again, spin is less and produces a more deader ball. Hard to produce spin on serve but a fast long serve is predictable.
07/03/2016 BH Review Review by Pipsonbothsides

Use 1.5 for defense and to counter spin. One can produce a good topspin return. Serving is difficult to get spin. Can produce a dead short serve. Chopping is the same as Degu in my opinion. Little faster but with less spin than Degu 1.5.
