The Nittaku Violin was made using the same principles used in making string instruments. In the instrument blade series, this blade is the lightest and has the smallest head size while also being the thinnest. Despite having a harder feeling than the Nittaku Acoustic, the Violin is slightly slower and has more control. Made in Japan.

Force of smash + even chop is better combined with Fastarc. Would buy again in future.

I played table tennis regularly when I was young and picked it up again after a very long pause. I am taking lessons and developing the proper swing now. I bought a couple of fast and expensive blades, but I have been struggling to control the balls. I find it is hard to develop a proper swing with the hard and fast blades because the ball does not stay on the blade long enough to allow me to finish the swing. I bought the Nittaku Violin after doing extensive research and I found it really helps me to develop the proper techniques and swing. I have to point out that I definitely feel the contact and the strong vibration when I hit the ball with the Nittaku Violin. After playing with the Violin for five months now and my swing has improved a lot, and it is due to the slower speed and vibration for me to feel the ball at contact. I definitely need a proper technique to hit the ball hard and fast. The ball does not come off the blade super fast, but you have a very good controlled placement of the ball at your opponent's side.

So the all wood Violin is an amazing paddle, but I prefer the Carbon Inner version. This one doesn't feel quite as powerful even with a fast rubber and max sponge on the forehand side. Other than that the weight and touch are the best I've used on a regular basis yet.

While I am an amateur player, but I really love this racket.
Only one small thing I would like to bring out is the "Violin" label on the handle detached. I just used glue to re-attach it.
