The Nittaku Barwell Fleet utilizes the original design of the Barwell blade. While the plywood construction is identical to its predecessor, the core plies are noticeably thinner. The main difference is the addition of two synthetic layers. These two Glass-Fiber plies enhance the blade's power and give the blade a harder feeling. Made in Japan.

He probado diferentes maderos Butterfly, Stiga,DHS, y viendo características de NBF, decidí probarlo, me he llevado una positiva tremenda sorpresa en muchos aspectos. En velocidad tiene un comportamiento variado, en golpes cortos y lentos responde lento, en golpes de bloqueo y potencia, reacciona con respuestas rápidas o muy rápidas. En cuanto al control, es muy preciso y si se tiene la técnica adecuado, hasta diría que el control es muy fácil, no hay vibraciones. En cuanto a rigidez y aunque es rígida al usar una goma semidura, no tiene ningún problema en generar topspin muy pesado y espinoso. Un aspecto muy agradable, quizás debido a su dureza media, es la neutralización grande al responder topspin sin esfuerzo, y mucho mas entretenido los smashes, que ademas de producir un sonido muy agradable, son rapidísimos. En cuanto al juego cortado es bastante fácil. El flip sobre la mesa se facilita mucho con NBF. En cuanto a la calidad de construcción y acabado, es una cuchilla al mas alto nivel y quizás por encima de marcas de renombre. En general es una cuchilla muy equilibrada y con el correr del tiempo se van descubriendo características que al inicio pasan inadvertidas,será mi espada de campeonato.

Quality

The racket is a bit long-ish compared to TSP Black Balsa and Darker Hinoki. The centre of gravity is further away from the handle. I wish the top of the handle was slightly heavier to counter balance this. So this feature of the racket takes a little getting used to.
That said, the long-ish feature makes it slightly easier to do close-to-the-table flicks especially those down-the-line flicks.
Surprisingly for close-to-the-table shots, the racket allows me to do 'dead' balls; it has a dampening character. I can also do near table 'power' shots with it. Further from the table, the fibre kicks in, giving 'power' when needed. It can also help me 'fish' ie absorbing the incoming power of the opponent's smash and looping it back either as a very high ball or a counter-loop-smash.
So overall it gives a great combo of both control and power. Just that price-wise it's a little steep.

I like this blade so much! It has amazing control, full of power even away from table, and makes looping easier. I'd recommend this to any penhold loopers.

This blade with Tibhar FX-P rubber on the FH forms a very good combination of
