In keeping with the legacy it inherited from the original line Avalox 500 line, the Avalox 555 features desirable characteristics, such as great touch and large sweet spot, while providing more power at high impact speeds. The "trampoline-effect" has been improved so that players used to the earlier blades can enjoy the same soft- and medium touch play as before, but can generate more speed, power and spin due to longer dwell times. All Avalox Blue Thunder blades come pre-coated to avoid wood fiber loss when reglueing. The blade is made in Sweden.

13/06/2013 Excellent blade Review by Milos
Quality
On my BT 555 blade I use Donic Acuda S2 2mm (fh) and Butterfly Sriver FX 1.9 mm (bh).
My style of play is offensive/allround, I usually attack from the table using both fh (more often) and bh. I also chop/push with bh more often than with fh. When I attack, I try to produce topspin and then smash the returned ball. When attacked, I block with both wings. I rarely step away from the table.
So, put shortly, spin/smash attack, block defense and occasionally chop/push to set up the attack. And everything from the table.
I found that at this moment this rubber-blade configuration suits my game, and as I'm getting more used to it (I've been using it since mid-April, 2-3 times a week) I feel my game steadily improves and I like it better each day.

The blade have great control, feeling and dwelltime as said.
The speed is perfect for me.
The handle is kinda soft but in a nice way. I guess it will get harder when more sweat have been absorbed.
The weight is fine for me (I use a heavy chinese rubber on my forhand).
